Instructions
Preparing the Cake
In a blender, combine the eggs, oil, and milk. Blend until smooth.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, and chocolate powder twice to ensure a light texture.
Gradually mix the blended liquid into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
Finally, fold in the baking powder.
Pour the batter into a greased rectangular baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before assembling.
Making the Brigadeiro Cream
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate powder, stirring continuously until it thickens and starts to pull away from the pan (about 10 minutes).
Remove from heat and mix in the heavy cream to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
Let it cool before assembling.
Preparing the Chocolate Syrup
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and chocolate powder, stirring well.
Add the rum essence (if using) and let it cool.
Assembling the Brigadeiro Dessert Box
Cut the cooled chocolate cake into small squares that fit into your mini trays or dessert boxes.
Drizzle a little chocolate syrup over the cake to keep it moist.
Spread a generous layer of brigadeiro cream over the cake.
Top with chocolate sprinkles or shavings for an elegant touch.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
