- 200 g (7 oz) salted beef (carne seca), soaked overnight

- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
For Serving:
- White rice

Instructions
1. Prepare the Beans
- Soak the black beans overnight or for at least 8 hours to soften them.
- Drain and rinse before cooking.
2. Cook the Meats
- In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté the bacon until crispy.
- Add the smoked sausage and pork ribs, browning them on all sides.
- Rinse and add the salted beef (previously soaked to remove excess salt).
- Stir well and cook for about 5 minutes.
3. Cook the Beans
- Add the black beans, bay leaf, and 8 cups of water to the pot.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- If using a pressure cooker, cook for 35 minutes.
4. Prepare the Seasoning
- In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté the onion and garlic until golden brown.
- Add black pepper, cumin, and smoked paprika, stirring for 1 minute.
5. Final Touches
- Add the sautéed seasoning to the feijoada and stir well.
- Let it cook uncovered for 10-15 minutes until thick and rich.
- Adjust salt if necessary.
6. Serve and Enjoy
- Serve hot with white rice, sautéed collard greens, and orange slices for a perfect balance of flavors.
